Greetings! I’m Elin Dresen, a culinary enthusiast hailing from the charming town of Green Valley. Cooking is my passion, and the kitchen is where I find my true joy.

Having spent numerous years as a chef in bustling Chicago, I eventually returned to my roots in Green Valley. Almost immediately, I crossed paths with my husband, and together, we’ve shared over two decades of marriage, raising our wonderful children, Emma and Liam. Eager to stay connected to the world of food, I took on the role of manager at a local health club.

Intrigued by the idea of sharing wholesome treats, I proposed introducing my nutritious muffins and low-fat brownies to the staff and gym members. The response was overwhelmingly positive, and the aroma of freshly baked goodies soon became a staple at the health club.

Fast forward to 2013 when I embarked on a delightful culinary journey with my dear friend Olivia. Our joint venture, Green Bites Haven, initially started as a dessert-centric blog, earning its name. As time unfolded, we felt the urge to expand our horizons, incorporating a medley of savory recipes and valuable tips.

Recently, Olivia transitioned back to the corporate world. While I miss her dearly, our bond remains unbreakable, and we continue to share our culinary adventures. In light of these changes, I decided to rename the blog to Elin’s Culinary Haven. The essence remains, featuring timeless favorites alongside an array of health-conscious recipes, spanning vegan, gluten-free, keto, paleo, and raw options. Additionally, I’ve infused the blog with decadent delights, drawing inspiration from Olivia’s cherished family recipes and incorporating my family’s favorites.
